WOYWW #72

After receiving such a warm welcome for my first entry on WOYWW last week and so many lovely people taking the time to leave comments on my new Blog that I was encouraged to join in again this week.

I did have a major clear up of my desk yesterday as I just couldn't find anything and I feel that if my desk is cluttered then  my mind gets a bit cluttered too and I can't think straight so it looks pretty tidy right now but let me tell you, it's NOT always so.

Today I was having a play with my new MS christmas theme punches.  I hadn't ever tried the punch round the page techniquebefore so thought I'd give it a go with the snow flake punches. First of all you have to get the size just right or it won't work out and that's a bit of a pian. My first attempt wasn't so good as the paper got caught in the punch and got a bit snarled up but on the 2nd attempt it all came better.

My favourite, though, HAS to be that Deep Border Snowflake Punch ooooh WOW it's just sooooo pretty, don't you think.  There's just so many possibilities for this design that my tiny mind is overloaded with ideas.

Thanks for looking.

  1. I also like that snowflake punch. It is clever, too. My friend has a punch that goes around corners, and we could NEVER get it to line up properly. She and I played with it for hours, causing more and more frustration while scrapping a lot of nearly finished cards.

  11. Absolutely! I do so know what you mean - if my desk gets all messy I can't seem to organise my thoughts either. A nice tidy, well organised workspace gives me that zen calm feeling in which creativity can flow ....

  13. Loks like you have cracked it with the punches and you are right about having to get the paper the right size. Mine always seem a smidging too big so I end up snipping off a little. Looks great when they are finished.
    Happy WOYWW

  16. I agree, I need a relatively tidy desk or I'm lost! The punch around the page kits are great once you know their little foibles! Love the deep border punch, will have to look out for that it's lovely!

  18. I think the punches are so pretty, need to get myself one as I see them used often. I completly relate on how a cluttered desk can clutter the mind, so after about a week or so I feel compelled to clean up. Thanks for the snoop!

  19. Your snowflake designs are so pretty, but must be very time consuming. What a buzz when you get it right, You have inspired me to have a go at something similar. I must look again at my punches.

  20. I have that same set of MS punches - bought them when they were on QVC as their TSV... then found out my mum had ordered the same ones - I wish i'd have known so i could have ordered the alternative new design they had on...

Hope you make lots of lovely things with them and show them on your blog/desk.
